I’ve always wanted to be a writer-in-residence. DJs have residencies: why shouldn’t writers? Max Gate is smaller (and certainly quieter) than the average nightclub, but you don’t have to be there very long to realise it’s a special place. I’m thrilled and honoured to have been chosen, and very excited about the events we have lined up.

Historical Fiction masterclass with author Imogen Robertson

Coleridge Cottage have a fantastic line-up of free Writing Workshops and Masterclasses as part of the Writing Places Project. This is a partnership project between Literature Works, the Literature Development Charity for the South West, The National Trust and The Poetry Archive. The project aims to help more people discover the literary heritage of the South West and to engage them with writing by placing a Writer In Residence at Coleridge Cottage and by running a programme of Community Engagement Events.
