Autumn has well and truly arrived and with it, the second workshop in the aptly titled Autumn workshop series run by Virginia Astley our writer-in-residence at Hardy’s Cottage. ‘He looked and smelt like autumn’s very brother, his face being sunburnt to wheat-colour, his eyes blue as cornflowers’. Many writers have written about autumn. Basing ourselves in the cottage garden we will find how the season speaks to each of us.
