Join writer-in residence, Virginia Astley, for a workshop in the atmospheric setting of Hardy’s Potting Shed.
‘For old association’s sake’
‘Past things retold were to her as things existent, Things present but as a tale’
Hardy in his writing was always aware of the seasons and of the passing of time.
‘For old association’s sake’ is a phrase that echoes throughout. There is in Hardy’s work a continual awareness of both the past in the present and the present in the past. This workshop will include a walk, revisiting Rainbarrow.
